Chose Emerald because they are all inclusive on new ships which all have indoor pool with retractable roof. They were offering a good deal in the UK (and I believe still have the same offer). We were not disappointed.

The atmosphere on board became more like a two week party than a cruise. Everyone got on so well together. The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and fun. The Cruise Director in particular was amazing. Everything worked fine, on time and without fuss.

The cruise included two days in Budapest at the start and in Amsterdam at the end, with shore excursions, which worked well. All the shore trips and excursions were good with excellent guides. We tended to go for the less active trips but who were more active spoke well of their days out.

Cabin Review

Cabin Grand Balcony

We had only been on ocean cruises before so were initially surprised by the size of our cabin but it had everything we needed and was well serviced. We spent pretty much all our time in the lounge, pool/cinema, restaurant or sun deck so the cabin size did not matter.
