Took a nine day cruise around the Baltic with the family. Were reluctant at first due to the expense and recent terrorist attacks in the countries we were visiting. Opted for deluxe accommodations in "The Haven", which wasn't all that great. Service was good, but almost too many visits to our room so felt like we didn't have much privacy. Had someone walk in several times while someone was showering so you have to constantly remember to push privacy button whenever someone is in the room. Difficult to do with family of 5.

First stop was Germany which we couldn't get into until the next day due to weather. Then we had only a 1.2 day vs the full day we booked with an excursion that had to be cancelled. To add insult to injury, we had to wait over an hour to re-board the ship. I have never seen anything like it - a line longer than the ship and not single file. Unbelievable! Then we skipped our stop in Estonia also due to the Germany fiasco.

Russia was fine but limited to tour lead excursions - no self guided without visa. Finland was interesting. Our next stop should have been Stockholm but that was changed to some random Swedish port. You then had to pay to ride an hour or so into Stockholm and back again. We opted for a local excursion but were told the night before that it was cancelled.
