This cruise turned out to be perfect for us because we really wanted more days in Bermuda as 5-7 days was too short a trip. This was our 1st "big boat" cruise, and we were very comfortable with the ship size and company of the other 2,000 guests. We enjoyed finding quiet areas of the ship to read and had no difficulty locating a deck chair or lounge chair in one of the common areas. We were on deck 2, and enjoyed having a window, but realized that we were not in our cabin much. The bathroom/shower was small, but adequate, and there was abundant storage for our needs. We did bring an over the door (bathroom) clear shoe "pocket" storage that helped us keep track of small items, and a tiny fan because we like air movement. We did not experience any sea-sickness at all, but were fortunate to have calm seas. This trip was ideal for us because we had busy port day excursions interspersed with two "at sea" days for R&R. It was the perfect combination for us.

in Bermuda taking the RC segway tour (Troy was our wonderful tour guide), the RC sunset boat tour rum tasting (Goslings), and the snorkeling/kayaking in Devil's Bay. All were terrific! The segway tour included the dockyards as well as a bit of local travel nearby to see more secluded swimming and "glass" beaches. We enjoyed hearing about Bermudian life and flora too. The America's Cup race was ongoing at the time of our visit, which was cool to watch from the ship or shore, and to see the amazing yachts in the harbor. The snorkeling in gorgeous Devil's Bay was our first experience and we loved seeing the brain and fan corals and the multitudes of brightly colored fish. Great experience.

We were not enamored of Nassau, but we did take the RC land & sea tour, which was "OK," to see some of the island's landmarks and hear some of the history. This was easy and enjoyable, but my least favorite excursion. The guides were informed but very 'canned' and although the seascape in Nassau is beautiful, the land simply is not. Most of the water tour was simply pointing out where celebrities live. The disparity of rich/poor was blatant, and the litter on land and in coastal areas was disturbing. It would be nice to see some of the extreme wealth trickle down to those providing so much of the island services. We had a few minutes to see the Atlantis Resort, and enjoyed the lovely setting and landscaping. This seems to be the attempt to keep tourists from seeing the 'dark' side of this island.

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Clean, efficient, and comfortable. The only thing I wished for was an electrical outlet by the bed for phones. There was ample storage and lighting, the bed was comfortable and our steward, Solomon, was exceptional. The temperature was easily controlled, although we did bring a tiny fan because we sleep better with air movement. Our stateroom had a split window, but I don't recall which category it was.
