Chose this cruise for the 2 day stop in Havana. Must have been a beautiful place at one time. 40% of structures unsalvageable , 2 collapse each day . 60+ years of communism has taken its toll on a onetime gem. Average wage $18-25 per month.

Rented a 1957 convertible with driver & guide for 2/3 the ships price and were able to have 2 additional people which brought the price to only $30 per person versus $90 PP for ships cost. All available right outside the terminal although we booked online before we sailed.

Custom line was very fast, only 3-5 minutes . You had to get a number to get off the ship as they let small groups off which made it very fast. After the first day you could come and go without any restrictions. Our son and grandson came back at 2 am the first day without any problems. Money exchange right outside customs-use Euros or Canadien $ as they charge additional 10% for US currency.

small batcave but clean-would not book on a longer cruise, but we knew that going in and chose for the Havana visit as port charges and visa fees were half the cost
