we chose this cruise because of the location in Hamilton, Bermuda. We loved being in the midst of things with the J Boats being docked nearby at the Princess Hotel and the ferry service over to the Dockyard where the America's Cup boats were sailing.

Unfortunately, the Veendam has a lot of improvement to make before we would even consider sailing on her again. Food was just average, and certainly not memorable. The lack of fresh fruit and any change on the breakfast buffet was non-existent. Dinners in the Dining room were inconsistant, some OK and others a disaster.

Many parts of the ship need repair, ceilings leaking in the Leido buffet, so much so that the staff had to put towels on trays to wipe up the condensation. Read more
