We've been on lots of cruises, but generally regard ourselves as Budget cruisers. We paid a premium for RCI as others had said how good it was - alas we were disappointed. Despite us having booked months in advance for three of us, the cabin was only ready for two. Mould was growing in the shower and the cabin was tatty. These items were quickly resolved when highlighted. The ship is quite tatty and certainly needs a good clean - but the ship is very well desigined, partiularly considering it's age. It feels like RCI have been making cuts. Cleaning and maintenance were skimped. Queues were horrendous for drinks and food at some point. It's rare on a cruise to have to be concerned about the limited availability of food, but that was the case. I heard one couple arguing at 4pm because they were lying by the pool on deck 11 and the only available food was on deck 4 and there was a 20-30 minute queue. Windjammer closed very early, so there was no quiet area/buffet/bar as the only food available after 9pm was on the promenade where all the noisy bars are. When people were coming into Windjammer after a full day on a tour, food was being removed in front of them and they were sent to the Promenade on deck 4 where there was a huge queue and no seats. Similarly getting a drink was very hit and miss. Almost all of the staff we dealt with were friendly, pleasant and helpful. There were just too few staff and they were not well managed. We did have a good holiday, and would consider RCI again, but for 30% less than we paid. It was a very mediocre product for a premium price.

Cabin Review

Cabin 7441
After the repairs and deep cleaning we asked for - hopefully it'll be a more pleasant experience for others.
Pretty small cabin, tatty like the rest of the ship.
