All service on board was excellent. The food was mostly wonderful with the exception of some nasty tasting fish and overcooked duck that was served to us in the main dining room on our second night. I think the key is to get a very good waiter who will steer you in the direction of the best food in the main dining room. He would actually tell us, "No you don't want the strip steak. Get the prime rib and lobster instead". He was right. My husband had the strip steak on the last night and it was the worst ever. He should have listened to the waiter. Lunch and breakfast in the main dining room was great. We also ate at Chops, 150 Central Park, and Giovanni's. All were excellent and a notch above the main dining room. The Windjammer buffet for breakfast and lunch was sub-par. The food had minimal flavor but the selection was good. We had room service for breakfast several times and this was much better than Windjammer. Also we had breakfast at Johnny Rockets but the eggs were tasteless. I'm not sure if they used any seasoning. The service was wonderful however. Boardwalk Dogs was average at best. The buns were stale and not much flavor. The free donuts in the morning on the Boardwalk are ok but not high quality. The free ice cream by the pool was awesome. Overall we had very good food with some exceptions. Again get a good waiter and listen to what he suggests that you eat and you will be fine. Also you can order as many appetizers and mains as you want.
The ports were great with the exception of St. Maarten where you can't even sit on the beach without 10-12 locals constantly asking you if you want a foot massage, a back rub or to buy something. This was seriously annoying. Labadee was awesome and the food provided was good. They provided grilled chicken legs, ribs, hotdogs and hamburgers. All was good. There was quite a line to get food but it moved fast. Beware: the ocean is very rocky here and you will need some swim shoes or you can hardly walk in the water.
Overall all lines moved fast and you really don't know the sheer volume of people on the ship for the most part.
The cabin is small but was always kept clean by our attendant, Keston. He provided excellent service and cleaned the room 2-3 times daily. The cabin is pretty close to sound proof with the exception that we could hear our neighbor's baby on the adjoining balcony even with the balcony door closed.
too many locals trying to sell you stuff continuously
