Once again we had a fabulous time on the Dawn. Embarkation went smoothly. We hired a company to transport a group of 10 and were dropped off right at the pier. This year we went the 1st week in June. Weather was great. The seas were rough on the way home. We stayed in an ocean view room 8150. There was a noise outside at night, maybe the lifeboats moving a little on rough nights. We could not hear noise from the Bliss lounge which others had mentioned might be a problem. We liked being able to look outside. We had 4 people in the room. It was tight but doable, we did not spend a lot of time in the room. Our room steward was new and training. We did not see a lot of him and he was very quiet. But as the week went on he warmed up and we understood he was learning the ropes. Members of the crew who stood out for us were "Awesome" at the bar in O'Sheehan's and "Danny Boy" a dinner waiter at Aqua. Food was good. But more variety would have been good for people like me who don't like sea food. We seemed to have mostly the same options for dessert all week. At night we had fun with all the activities in the Bliss Lounge. Trivia at Gatzby's was also fun. In Bermuda we went to Horseshoe Bay the first day. We got a van for $7.00 per person each way and were dropped off right at the entrance. That night we went on the Gosling Sunset Cruise. It was lots of fun and even had a member of the Gosling family on board. The second day we went on the Rising Sun Catamaran. That was lots of fun and would highly recommend them. We were spoiled and got to see team USA sail past us on the way to a race. We also had the tall ships pass by on their way out of Bermuda. The last day in Bermuda we went to St. George. We didn't pre-plan something to do and ended up wandering around. I would not do that again. We took the free ferry from NCL there but the return trip at the time we wanted was cancelled due to high winds so we had to purchase tickets on a different ferry to get back to the ship. Back on board for the return trip to Boston we enjoyed the white party and relaxing on deck. We went to a couple shows, but nothing stood out as outstanding. We chose a later disembarkation time and had no problems getting off. My sister had purchased a candle on the island and it was held at a counter until we were just getting off the ship. That was a little stressful as you had to wait until the last minute to get it. We didn't realize it was on the list of banned items. But it makes sense, you don't want people lighting candles in the rooms. So just be aware if you buy candles this is what happens. Overall we had a wonderful trip and we would go again!

Cabin Review

Cabin OA 8150
Nice, tight for 4 women but it was ok since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Lots of storage. Liked the location near Bliss, Venetian, and O'Sheehan's.
