Sail Date: Jun 2017
Cabin: Crown Loft Suite with Balcony
Traveled with children

I cruised this vacation as a Crown Loft Suite guest with myself, my husband and three teen children. We had a fabulous vacation. The suite class is truly a remarkable experience and you are certainly pampered. Upgrading to this class is certainly recommended. You have access to private sun decks, complimentary amenities in abundance and preferred status when arriving and departing. We would certainly cruise again on Royal Caribbean.

The food was excellent, the ports of call were exciting, the ship was immaculate, the service was great. My only regret was the photo gallery was closed on the last day and we were unable to purchase our photos that the ship's photographer had taken during our stay that week. There were so many things to do that we completely forgot to stop in the photo gallery the last evening to make our purchase and were unable to get any pictures on the morning of our departure from the ship. We were a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to our formal night family photos, but if that was the most disappointing part of my cruise experience, I will take it! I highly recommend this cruise for people of all ages.

Cabin Review

Crown Loft Suite with Balcony

Cabin L1

Amazing. Two bathrooms, ample room, dining area, refrigerator, two tv's, plenty of closet space, roomy balcony, comfortable furniture and bedding, lounge chairs on balcony. Immaculate and well maintained.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We took a taxi over to the Orient Beach for a day filled with jet skis, water sports, and venturing out on our own on the beautiful beaches of St. Martin. My husband and I have previously visited St. Martin and preferred to enjoy the day at the beach instead of touring with an excursion.

San Juan

Our family got off the ship and there were an array of taxis and tour buses available without having to purchase an excursion package. We hired a tour bus that was approximately two hours and reasonably priced. They took us all over the main parts of Old San Juan and left us with a few hours to explore on our own before we had to go back to the ship. I was disappointed with the short amount of time we had in Old San Juan and would recommend a longer stay here if possible. So much to see and not enough time.

Labadee

This was an enjoyable day for all. My three teen boys enjoyed snorkeling and swimming as well as relaxing on the beach. The water is definitely very rocky and filled with coral, so you need to be extremely careful when getting in the water. I would recommend water shoes to protect your feet as the rocks and coral can be very sharp. There was plenty of time to unwind and enjoy this fabulous day at the beach and not feel rushed. Another nice feature are the private huts and cabanas, but they need to be reserved asap and cannot be reserved online, so I suggest if you are interested, you need to take care of this as soon as you board the ship at the beginning of the cruise. But if you don't get to reserve a hut, you will still have a wonderful experience in Labadee.
