Silver Muse is a lovely and comfortable new ship. Whilst the facilities are superb, the dining arrangements are nothing short of terrible. Most of the dining room have tables that can accommodate from 4 to 8 people but almost all only ever had 2 people (a couple on them). Dining with other guests is a no-no! The menu in any of the restaurants did not change over the 12 nights, there was no specials. Changing or requesting a new venue was almost impossible. IndoChin is a waste of space as the attempt to have several different styles of Asian food in one venue has failed. The concept of having guests meet others seems to have been overlooked. This became the general topic amongst all guests, many of whom had lots of cruising with Silver Sea. The need to cancel a booking before going on a wait list caused guests to have no confirmed booking for dinner. At times when buffet service is in place, the hots food is not hot enough and could result in sickness. As for formal nights, well this is a joke as currently it is only for certain restaurants, not the entire ship. So guest are moving around from formal wear thru to shorts and thongs, all on the same night. Looks messy and does not suit the glamorous style promoted for the ship.

Other issues include freezing cold public spaces (many on the ship had come down with coughs and colds during the cruise), inability to hear public announcements in the suites (you needed to be in the hall way), second rate entertainment that was the same group every night, expensive dining in 2 restaurants (US$60 PP). if the dining arrangements are not changed we would not book on this ship again.
