We chose this cruise to jump at the opportunity to spend two days in Havana. A bit nervous about going to the "forbidden island" but it was easy-peasy thanks to NCL. They are the largest ship sailing there--and you get two full days in Havana. Plenty of time to get a taste of the many wonders of the city. NCL takes care of your Visa without hassles. It was also a bonus that the price was right!

Of course, we were all holding our breath waiting to hear what the DD (Dear Donald) would announce in Miami about USA residents continuing to travel to Cuba the weekend before we were scheduled to set sail! We'll see what 90 days brings for others. I am truly grateful I was able to go.

The NCL shore excursions kept changing and, in our humble opinion, were overpriced. We were able to book the same tours and experiences on our own--including a personal tour guide for the first day! What a treat! Highly recommended rather than getting herded around like cattle! But I know many appreciate that the work is done for them by NCL shore excursions so they can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
