We chose this cruise because of the ports of call, the time of year and the length of the cruise. I also didn't want to be on a large ship over 2,500 people. The staff were friendly and our stateroom was ready when we arrived. We had a family room without a balcony and it was plenty spacious for four of us. The food was much better than I expected. The Windjammer offered such a wide variety of things that everyone in our group was happy - from hamburgers for the kids to salads to gluten free options. The dinner in the main dining room was very good with excellent service. We did have a dinner for 2 at Chops one night and had the filet mignon. It was great! Also, there was a small cafe in the adult-only solarium that was perfect for fruit and lighter fare between meals.

We had taken our kids on the Disney Dream 18 months ago so I would say that this ship didn't have a strong teen program. There was a teen area with an arcade, but I never saw a staff member there. Where the teen program lacked, the multi-generational daily activities excelled. Our teens loved playing trivia games with the grandparents at the Schooner lounge on several occasions. On the last day one of my daughters and my mother-in-law participated in the flash mob dance.

The evening entertainment was excellent on the nights they had the dancing and the Motown music. Some nights (the comedian, magic show) it just wasn't our thing so we didn't attend. We did our shore excursions through Viator as we felt RC was too expensive. However, the only time we had a crowd on embarkation/debarkation was getting back on the boat at Katakolon. I wish we could have had about 1-2 more hours there as Ancient Olympia and the Kremasti Monastery were interesting.

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FO

Cabin room was clean and larger than I expected. Although we didn't have a balcony, I didn't miss it at all. The window was large and I didn't feel claustrophobic. The bedding was super comfortable and there seemed to be enough drawer space for everyone.
