This was my 44th cruise and 12th on CCL. All I wanted was to go to the beach and this was the perfect itinerary hitting Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove and Grand Turk.

We flew in the day before and stayed at the Renaissance Marriott on points, room was fine, bed was great, bathroom needs updating and parking is ridiculous. We took the Budget shuttle to the port and went right to the cabin as Elite has FTTF. We had a balcony deck 8 cabin 8349 with an overhang, unfortunately under the food area of the lido deck. The cabin was noisy from above as there is a utility closet. We complained numerous times, no one could identify the problem.

Dining was disappointing, the food was often cold. We moved closer to the kitchen with anytime dining and had a better waiter but the busboys were slow and disorganized. Food was fair. Hard to find food at 3pm when returning from shore, only pizza and burgers, buffet is closed as is the deli.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Cabin size good, liked being near the elevator but there is noise from above, avoid this cabin.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Always love this port but the water was somewhat murky this time and rocky.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Took excursion to Sunscape Resort, disappointing beach but nice otherwise, large pool, good drinks and food.
