We chose Silversea because of the reputation and a smaller ship in addition to the cuisine. The cruise mostly met our expectation. We normally go on riverboats as a more intimate and less stress experience. The 90 day dinner reservations and 60 day shore excursion deadline were stressful and the "concierge" service was non existent!! I could not reach anyone by phone or email to ask questions.

With regards to the cruise-it generally met our expectations except for the main dining room which was a cut below the other dining venues. Our shore experiences in general were good with the exception of Skagway-the Hummer driver just started working 1 month ago and was mostly clueless about the rich history. He did listen to us and took some memorable photos to us! The French restaurant on the last day was somewhat disappointing and I was under the impression that wine would be pared with the food-it would definitely have added to to dining experience.

Also I has to commend the enrichment speaker who was excellent and the ability to watch his lecture on TV the next day was very helpful.
