We took dad who is 92 and wanted a single cabin right by us. This ship has only one single cabin but you don't have to pay as if you were a couple. Altho there is a lift the stairs are shallow and easy to use. Even up to the top deck, which the lift does not reach, he was fine as there are good rails to hold on to either side.

Everything is included in the price - meals, snacks, anytime any type of drink, excursions, tips, entertainment, room service. The food was of very good quality and never repeated. It was great to have different wines from a variety of regions of Europe.

There was a thorough and fun port talk every evening by our superb cruise director Richard Grey (altho personally we would have liked more detailed advance information). The excursions were very good and efficiently run. There was always lots to do and something to see going on on the river as well as the ever changing views. We enjoyed going through the locks as well.

Cabin Review

Cabin Sapphire Deck

Very well appointed. Good temperature control. Ample storage space altho hanging space was a bit narrow as were the drawers but really no problem. Masses of electricity sockets. The window which slides down is a great bonus. no noise from the corridor as people passed. Cleaning was immaculate
