wanted to explore the Danube east of Budapest after last years cruise from Nuremberg to Budapest.Once again the professionalism of the cruise director and the entire crew was second to none ,the captain was very friendly and approachable. The dining experience was excellent the head chef was very helpful and available to explain any queries about the menus etc the highlight being a tour of the galley .The hotel service crew were very friendly and helpful always smiling.the whole ship was spotless .All the guids on the shore excursions were very knowledgeable and interesting.the highlight being the visit to the school in Bulgaria and the visit to the family home in Croatia where we shared an excellent meal.When you are on a cruise it is important to know you are in safe hands if anything goes wrong this was demonstrated when one of the passengers had a heart attack on the dance floor on the ship,the cruise director and all the crew members present rushed into action administering CPR and the unfortunate man was removed from the ship and taken to hospital as soon as possible .The cruise director handled what was a very upsetting experience for every one in a very professional way keeping us all informed about the mans condition and cheering every one up so as not to spoil our cruise experience.We would be happy to recommended a Emerald cruise to any one.
