This was our 5th cruise (3rd with RCI). We chose this cruise since it was based out of NYC and we had never been before. It gave us a good reason for a pre-cruise vacation. We loved NYC. Kudos to Kenia, our room attendant. She was awesome.

As far as the ship goes, my 13 year old son loved that it offered soccer every day. This kept him entertained for hours. We didn't try bumper cars or roller skating as we were not interested. My 16-year old daughter was not as entertained. She also loves soccer but it was taken over by the boys and they were a little too rough for her to join in, although she was welcome to. She did go to the nightly teen events and enjoyed them.

For the adults, we struggled to find things to do on sea days that didn't result in sitting in bars all day. There really wasn't anywhere else to go. All of the activities took place in the bars. I think the layout was just difficult to have activities any where else. Around the pool area, we all wished for more entertainment. They had a live band but really no fun activities to keep us all entertained. A couple of times they held competitions, but they didn't last long.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

I would not recommend this room or any balcony on the 7th deck. Although not listed as such, it is a partially obstructed view. We went to Guest Services and they acknowledged that is was. They offered 15% off my next cruise but we asked for OBC instead. We ended up getting $75. Better than nothing I guess.
