We sailed on this ship because we were part of a large group of family and friends. I personally would not have picked this ship because I know that is old and on the brink of retirement. I had hopes for it though because I knew it had been recently refurbished. Guys and the Blue Iguana were two places I was happy to see. The first night our waiter seemed like he was very annoyed with his job but he got better over the following days. The food was better in the dining room than it was when we sailed on Vista last year. Perhaps because they were preparing for a smaller number of people. The food, however, was still never really hot.
The cabins were a decent size but showing their age. We had M96 and M100, adjoining cabins, so that our kids could have their own space. I did miss having a fridge. There was also no hair dryer and only one outlet. We did bring a power strip in our checked bag. If you carry it on they may try to take it.
My kids (4 and 7) enjoyed their time at Camp Ocean. The parting gifts were super cute and useful.
The cabin had plenty of storage but it was showing it's age. The Tv was updated, beds comfortable. But the picture window area looked like it was crusted in sea salt and the shower tiles were chip and aged. We had adjoining cabins since we were traveling with our children.
This port is terrible. I'm sure if you have an excursion booked it's fine but the port area is like a mega college pool/beach party with tons of bars and over priced stores.
