We were traveling to Spain and decided it would be worth looking into the possibility of cruising the med for a week. The dates and location of travel on this cruise ship seemed to work well with the timing so we attempted to book online a balcony room. The website would allow you to get all the way through the booking process and then the room would suddenly not be available for booking. We tried calling the agent and they had the same problem over and over as well. We were advised to settle on two interior rooms but not to be concerned about upgrading because there was still plenty of time and we would have priority on cancellation of any of the balcony rooms. We followed up almost weekly and were still never able to upgrade, we attempted to make an offer for upgrade but never received any correspondence back either way. Very frustrating website and communication!
The ship itself was well maintained and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The staff, although courteous, seemed overwhelmed at times making it apparent they were not relaxed. The food was mediocre for cruise cuisine and honestly we found the mandarin/noodle bar our favorite place to dine. The shows seemed to be some of the best we have seen onboard a ship. So overall if you want the nightlife, gambling and choice of many theme bars this will work well, if you want finer food and more of a relaxed dining experience I would look elsewhere. We were spending so much time ashore on excursions it seemed to work well overall. Yes, I would do it again, and although my girls wanted a balcony, I just pretended I was serving back in the military then it was an awesome room!!
room was well maintained and we loved Bacus our steward. Just didn't want a interior room because of no view
Walked the sidewalk along the water, enjoyed the view and some snacks. Beach locations would have been nice to know but there wasn't a ton of info.
