I returned yet again to the Epic because I personally think all the Staff on board are outstanding. NCL seem to have the happiest people working for them on this particular ship. Since the cruise lines have introduced the "all inclusive packages" everyone seems to drink more and a lot of ships do not appear to have increased their staff ratio to allow for this. The Epic however, seem to have this right but more importantly the staff are all happy and seem to enjoy their jobs, which in turn makes happy customers. I book direct with NCL for all my cruise packages, after having a very bad experience with Virgin Cruises whose cruise package only "sometimes" include transfers. NCL know what the word service means and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. I have tried a few other NCL ships but find the Epic the best for staff and best suited to me. I have also found that if you have a complaint and you take the time to speak to somebody they do their best to sort it out for you at the time.

For example, when I collected my suitcase from the Port of Civitavecchia it had obviously been opened, I didn't speak to anybody at the time as had to line up for my transfer but as soon as I got home I sent them an e-mail so that they know what went on.

Studio

Cabin T1

When travelling alone always try for a Studio cabin, which suits me perfect along with the Studio lounge, which enables solos to eat together in the evenings.
