Have done over 25 Ocean cruises from large to small. This was first river cruise. Although Scenic has been around for over 25 years, they have only been marketing in US for a few years. Picked Scenic based on independent ratings on line, as this was highest rated as of 2016. Was not disappointed. While I have seen many lines market as pretty much all-inclusive, this is the real deal. Based on value, this was the best I have ever experienced. With the exception of some free time expenses on land and river portions, I never reached for my credit card or wallet. The only extra on board was for some laundry service. Tips included, all food and drinks (including alcohol) included, all excursions included.

Beautiful ship. Great service. If you want to be surrounded by Americans, may not be the best choice for you. This is an Australian company and vast majority of our ship mates were Aussies, Kiwis, Brits and Canadians.....the friendliest and most fun people in the world. Also, gauge your dining expectations based on the small size of kitchen facilities on a river boat. Food was more than acceptable and was not gourmet level. If you are a foodie, stick to upscale ocean cruises. Individual GPS system allows easy listening on guided tours, create your own tour on every stop, sitting on your balcony and having every point of interest pointed out as you sail by.
