We chose the cruise for the destinations; The Baltics. Out of a 14 day cruise there were 5 sea days scattered over the fortnight. We had 5 days in a row of tours which was very hectic as I do like the days at sea to enjoy what the boat has to offer.
I cannot fault anything on this cruise. Everything was ship-shape. Check-in and disembarkation was very smooth and our luggage actually beat us to the cabin and the entertainment was first class.
The Crown Princes is a large ship and it took us 14 days to make our way around all the bars and entertainment venues. I would have liked more enrichment activities, instead of . the Art Auctions, bad back pain and the hard sell seminars. It is very off putting, and there seems to be the same seminars of this kind on other Princess ships. I have encountered them on the Dawn Princess as well.
We loved the position of our cabin mid ship, close to elevators on Deck 9. Our balcony didn't have a covering which didn't bother us, as I read some reviews and it was a problem for some. The weather was cool and windy; we were also in port most days so the balcony did not get much use. Bedding was comfortable and the mini suite gave us a bit more room to spread out with the 3 seater lounge.
Cabin steward and all staff were very attentive and very cheerful
Cycled on our own. Very easy
