This was a 70th birthday present and it was a buy one get one free. Good food and service and being a small ship was not impersonal. You met a lot of people who were friendly and there were no children! We ended up not getting the cruise we paid for. It was to the Scilly Isles, Rouen, Antwerp and then to Hull. We would be coached back to Cardiff from there. After leaving Rouen the Captain came over the speaker system to inform us that we would not be going to Antwerp after all as the weather was bad and the pilot refused to come on board. We could have hopefully stayed in Rouen another day or even found somewhere else in France to go, but no we ended up GOING TO DOVER!! Some of the people on the cruise got off at Dover and went home by train. We did go into Dover for something to do and it cost us £5 each return and there was nothing really there. There was a good selection of food and you could eat 4 times a day! with snacks after 12. The service was good and the staff were friendly. Our cabin steward [Dev] was very good and our cabin [though not good] was always kept clean and tidy and the beds turned down at night. For a first cruise it was a little disappointing.

Hopefully Next Cruise Will be Better

Cabin Review

Cabin 249
Our room was changed at the last minute and we found it very cramped. This was not found out until the day before we sailed WHICH IS WHEN WE RECEIVED THE TICKETS! I have written to the holiday company and I am still waiting for a reply since sending the letter on 15 June. The wardrobe door, which had glass on the front, and kept coming open - they tried to fix it but were unsuccessful. Not very good health and safety wise. We had one bad day/night and my partner had to use his stick to keep the door closed. Also the safe was not very good. Our cabin steward [Dev] was very helpful and friendly. The cabin, which was not to our liking, was kept clean and tidy and the beds were turn down at night.
