Wanted to revisit the Baltics, this cruise came through the door in a flyer, it was a good price. We have cruised with various companies, P&O the most. Our loyalty points move to Princess so we found ourselves on their Elite tier. Second trip on this ship, clean and well maintained. Great embarkation, just really walked through. Cabin B752, was ready, right at the back of the ship. Balcony was a wee bit bigger. Had a bit of vibration, but nothing to worry about. We were on freedom dining. There was one dining room dedicated to this, plus the Divinci became freedom after 7.45pm. We use this one and apart from one evening got a table for 2. Food was good, not a huge amount of veg, but you could ask for more. Waiters were great, remembered you and your preferences. Breakfast and lunch were eaten at either the buffet or the great international cafe. Food ok at the buffet, much preferred the cafe. Some guests did not realise that the food was free in the cafe. Bought one coffee card which you could get speciality coffees, but you could also get complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee in the buffet and after dinner was awful! Always a huge amount of activities in the Princess Patter, but a lot of it was sales related. Art actions, jewellery sales, etc, etc. Lots of quizzes, throwing the bean bag, wii games. Very good band at the back of the ship that very rarely had more than a dozen listeners/dancers. Theatre had very good acts, theatre company excellent. We did not take Princess excursions, they were horrendously expensive. Brugge - booked an independent transfer. Wonderful place, got very busy in afternoon. Copenhagen- hoho bus next to ship, could put cost on cruise card, though we found that Princess took a cut, not much, but still a cut. Stockholm- visited Abba museum, excellent. Again hoho bus at dockside. Tallin - beautiful place, more commercial than the last time we visit, caught the local shuttle into town. St Petersburg- marvellous two day tour with allah, wonderful could not praise this company enough. We were exhausted, but well worth it. Helsinki- poured with rain so did not do anything. Gdansk - docked at Gdynia, so just looked round this port town. Not sure if we would sail with Princess agin, mostly due to the expensive drinks with added 15% ( for your convenience!) not that we are big drinkers. Did not use the speciality restaurants. Quite happy with the main dining room.

Cabin Review

Premium Balcony
Cabin B4 B752
Just the usual balcony cabin. Comfortable bed. Slightly larger balcony as we overlooked the back of the ship.
