We were going to visit my other son in Norway, so we wanted to know the countries in the north of Europe. The cruise was the best option in price and quality and with all included versus bus tours. The food was delicious and with a lot of European selection. Great shows New York style. Although it was cold weather, we enjoyed it because we live where summer is very hot. And love that history explanation about Russia......... And we took the tour at Copenhagen after disembarking as our flight was in the afternoon going to Norway. We like the service for transfers between port cities at Tallin and Finland for 10 and 12 dollars roundtrip. It was worth it as we get tired coming back to the ship and saves us time to be walking and discovering the cities. St. Petersburg was full of surprises and so beautiful places.
Great size. We have one separate room for my son, one bedroom for us and one living room. Big 2 windows and a lot of closets.
We have a friend who is a doctor in Stockholm. I met her after 40 years.....We took the boat ride for 20 usd which take us at different places on the city and bring us back to the ship. Our friend was waiting for us at the Opera and she took us for all the old city and she knew they were going on renovation in many places, so we keep walking. She had a train and subway tickets for us so we save time going to different places in the city, We went to Vassa Museum (the ship) and then had lunch at Vassa restaurant. It was nice to taste some typical food. We stopped to buy souvenirs on some stores at old city and bought something like the cinnamon rolls to have for desert.
We took the transfer from port to city round trip. Then we had the walking tour by ourselves following the Rick Stevens book. Wonderful time discovering the best kept medieval Nordic city. We bought nice souvenirs and some that sell in Russia as they were cheaper here.
We took the transfer from port to the city with round trip option. We did our own walking tour going to Tempeliaku Church and all the churches, local market, and river.
