embarkation and disembarkation very good, but other than that not impressed with CMV I'm afraid. It was advertised as their flagship and we were on the maiden voyage but there were no bells and whistles on this journey. Cabins were advertised as having hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities but there were none in the cabins. I asked for a hairdryer and got given an old one with an adaptor plug attached to it, it was well used and the PA test was dated 2010, very bad! Toilets were constantly not flushing and the bed linen was old and 'bobbley'. No wifi on board and when I asked they said they cannot get it. Entertainment was poor and we always love the atrium on ships for atmosphere but there was none on here even on Gala nights.
Good points were the restaurant which had been updated and the food was lovely, but the Plantation buffet was too small for the amount of passengers....it was a free for all scrum so we avoided it.
kept very clean by the steward, basic shower gel in shower and small bar of soap, nothing else. Generous size shower but small space at the basin area. Sheets were old only one electric socket in the cabin, tv reception very poor, could get nothing on it for three days
