We chose this for the dates available and as a first cruise for our 12 year old. I had read some negative reviews, but decided to make up my own mind. So glad I did! The ship was spotlessly clean. Always could see cleaning being done around the ship. Our cabin was small, but we expected that. Room steward was pleasant and friendly, as were other stewards we would see in the corridors. Everyone smiled and said hello, asked how our cruise was going etc.. We enjoyed the shows-very energetic and very talented cast. We saw two comedians-one R rated and one PG rated. Both were good. Enjoyed the Karaoke-we didn't participate, but it was great watching and fun to see how supportive and encouraging everyone was(even when some of the songs weren't our cup of tea, and some of the "performers" were reaalllly bad :)) Dining services were top notch. I have a gluten allergy. I talked to the head waiter the first night(we had anytime dining), and every night, no matter who our wait staff were-they called me by name and told me they had my special menu choices ready. The head waiter checked on me every night to make sure everything was as I needed it to be. We had lunch in the Lido restaurant a few times. Many choices and all that we tried was very good. 12 year old loved the pizza. The 24 hour ice cream was also a hit with her and her new cruise friends. We ordered room service for snacks a few nights, and they were very prompt and pleasant. We didn't book shore excursions, but did our own thing at Key West and Cozumel. Our 12 year old was adamant that she wouldn't participate in the Circle C(the group for kids ages 12-14). We encouraged her to try it and see how it went. She met a small group of kids and they hung out together for the rest of the cruise. She did say that they didn't care for the structured kids activities, but liked playing mini gold and ping pong, and just hanging and talking.
The cruise director on this ship is AMAZING. If you didn't have fun on this cruise, you are probably a negative person in general.
I think the only negative thing I could say was that debarkation was kind of a mess. Only one bank of elevators available. We had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with our carry on luggage to wait to be called for debarkation. I have a bad ankle, and that was a bit rough. I would highly recommend this ship to anyone looking for a quick getaway. We had a ton of fun, and will book again.
Small but efficient. Plenty of closet and shelf space. Had a trundle bed, so walking around the bed to get to bathroom in the night was a challenge-but completely doable. Cabin was very clean. Bedding and pillows good quality and comfy.
Due to the short time at Key West, we just did some shopping, checked out Duval street and had a snack. Very enjoyable time.
