I was told that the ship was refurbished recently and after viewing the ship, I would like to know what was refurbished?? The state room was outdated. The cover on the couch was old and worn out. The room had one regular plug in it and it was located by the TV which made it difficult for charging phones or tablets. Let's discuss the contraption on the wall that was a hair dryer. This thing looked like it belonged in a 1950's hair salon. The one in our state room was broken when we entered our room. I told two different cabin attendants, both of whom assured me that it would be fixed by morning. Not sure which morning they meant cause two days later, it still wasn't fixed. Customer service understood my need for a working hair dryer, so they gave me a hair dryer to use. Unfortunately, the only plug that was compatible was located under the TV, which was great if my husband was trying to sleep.

The sewer smell towards the end of the trip made me a little nervous. Apparently other people have complained about that as well.

The staff were all very nice and eager to help.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We were only in port for a few hours. Went to Tracey's crab shack and walked around town before leaving port.

Ketchikan

Really nice town. Walked around and saw eagles flying over head.
