Traveled with children

We chose the Norwegian Pearl because of the itinerary they offered during school vacation week. We traveled with 2 kids and 4 grandparents and the Pearl offered activities for everyone. Our cabin was comfortable and clean. The balcony was great for hanging out after the kids went to bed, although it was difficult to get in and out of the door when the top bunk was lowered. The staff was very nice, especially the bartenders. Service in the restaurants was a little hit or miss, but the food was consistently good. The pool area was OK, not amazing. We had thought the Pearl had a waterslide due to the all the old pictures of it still online, but it does not have a waterslide. The kids still had fun, but on days at sea the beach chairs were all completely occupied, so we couldn't really sit anywhere close to the pool where we could watch the kids. The kids club Splash Academy was AMAZING, they had so much fun that they refused to leave until the final closing minutes. Entertainment on the ship was good, but not amazing. The music in the bars and pool was very entertaining, but the singing in the main theater on some nights could be better. Get the all-inclusive drink package too! It's a nice benefit to have.
