Always wanted to go on a cruise liked the look of Independence of the seas and for the cost thought comfort would be top of the list very disappointed, quality of bedding good but quality of mattress was awful they changed it but still broken and they said they had no new ones took over a week to resolve the problem they wedged one side with towels and put duvets to lay on also they use mattress toppers as duvets to hot and heavy but when told about the toppers they were adamant they were duvets did end up with a duvet after much discussion but worst still mouldy and sweat all over our pillows (6 of them) they changed them all, first day we spilled a orange juice on the sheet but our sheet was only changed once they just move your sheets round the bed. Have been offered money off another cruise. Tried to book Dolphin cruise in Malaga couple of hundred pounds as this was the only trip we wanted to do but asked for assistance by wheelchair getting up zig zag walkway on return but was told they could not do that so big disappointment plus they lost money surprised at that. Also could not understand lack of comfortable sun beds only the spa pool area which is small had mattresses, the other pool areas had no comfort on the sun beds could not understand why they dont put mattresses on, little cost to them,Food could have been a bit hotter in the windjammer plenty of choice.Shows good balcony could have more comfort relaxer chairs would be nice.Comfort on a cruise should be top of list as you spend a lot of time on the ship. Not sure about another cruise with RC may look for more comfort.
