We flew in to London a day early as we normally do. Unfortunately we were unaware that it was on the busiest holiday weekend of the year. Roads were so clogged that our pickup driver couldn't get to our terminal so we ended up schlepping our luggage on the air trans to another terminal parking lot. We made our way to Southampton with a number of stops including Stonehenge. The Silver Wind awaited us. We were able to board early and made our way quickly through the checkin formality. We love deck 6 because of its convenient location near the entry foyer and the theater. We always set our cabin up with twin beds which we find give us more space.Food was great as usual. We eat a hearty breakfast and often skip lunch or eat a light lunch on shore. We always try to get a couple of evenings in Le Champagne which is their fine dining restaurant. We had a couple of rough days at sea and we ate in the cabin. Our butler service was attentive and available at all hours. Staff of the ship was first class. Albert in the bar was especially efficient and had an outgoing personality. Entertainment isn't world class but they provide a refreshing respite from tours. You can't beat the Silversea formula.
