We chose this ship based on the Ports of Call and sail dates as we were coordinating the cruise with a conference in Anchorage. Overall, the ship design and lay-out was very good. The recent refurbishment made the ship look new. We enjoyed the on-board entertainment. Steve is a great cruise director.

I downgraded the overall rating for the disappointing food. Unfortunately, it was the worst food we have had on a cruise. The meat at several meals in the dining room was tough and the flavor of the food was generally average. The salmon and the desserts were the best thing about the meals. Several times we had cold food at the Windjammer. After the third time, I mentioned it to the manager and he quickly brought out the chef. I mentioned the food tempature to other people we were sailing with and they also said they noticed the food was cold. I hope they solve the problem.

I recommend Chops Grille. We had lunch there on a sea day. The lunch price was an excellent value. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were the bigest we've every seen and steak was extremely tender.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

The cabin has lots of storage space, more than enough for two people. It has a great mid-ship location, just a short walk to the centrum elevatiors which are convenient to everything on the ship Very quiet with cabins above, below, and across the hall. Our cabin steward, Brevira, was excellent. He was very friendly and he promptly took care of any request.
