The return trip from Cape Town is a long cruise, but allows you to settle into cruise life and really relax, as opposed to the short cruises, where its go, go, go.
One gets to know the crew a little better and also to meet and mix with the other passengers, which greatly contributes to the experience.
MSC shipboard life is extremely well organised, the ship is well maintained and expertly run. Add the excellent catering, professional shows and interesting excursions, which all add up to a very relaxing holiday.
The excursion details were not clearly indicated by the travel agent before the cruise, as some options were termed "sold out" and yet were available on-board. The on-board excursion team were absolutely excellent, however our bookings were already made before the cruise. The Visa requirements were also not clearly indicated with some confusion regarding Dakar, when the Ship's card was acceptable and yet we were required to obtain visas.
We are committed MSC cruisers and are thinking of the next one.
Shower facilities a bit cramped.
