Let me first say, that this was my first time cruising with Royal Caribbean, as I have extensive experience with Carnival and Norwegian, but know the policies of Disney, Holland, Celebrity, and Princess as we have family members who are avid cruisers of each, and in the highest tiers of membership.

The Allure was awesome. I absolutely loved that we weren't bored once, and we enjoyed just about everything. The ports were excellent, and I was NOT excited about Cozumel or Jamaica, and ended up loving them. The staff was super friendly, the food was decent (though we definitely weren't a fan of charging extra for things that other cruise lines offer for free like Steak, Lobster, or certain fillet's of fish), and the rooms were well maintained after we had to have maintenance come fix our balcony door, and then subsequent divider. Our Balcony door was jammed shut, and when they finally got it open, we went out and noticed our divider was jammed OPEN. So they had to come again to lock it back down. After that, we had no problems with the room.

I had three complaints with the cruise, and I think they mostly are going to come down to how Royal Caribbean handles business policy and profit over customer experience. My wife is a gold tier member with RC, and this was her 3rd or 4th cruise with the line, and they've definitely changed their policies since the last few times she's cruised with them a number of years ago.
