I have been on Royal a few times, This was the second time on this ship. Staff and Ship were excellent. Food quality and selection were outstanding. They even had a chocolate fountain on the last sea day in the Windjammer Buffet. The only complaint I had was my over the water cabana in Labadee. It cost $495 for the day and held 6 people. I was on Nellis Beach in NW3. We had a private walkway up to the cabana and a private ladder down to the water. One nervy woman climbed up our ladder and started asking us if there was an extra charge to stay in the cabana, asked who the woman was that I was with (my wife) and didn't believe it really cost $495. Half hour later another woman walks up our private walkway and says, "oh, I just want to yell down to my kids to come to shore". I tried to be polite by telling her "ma'am this is a private cabana", but she proceeded to yell down to her kids, and left. At this point I called my cabana attendant over and told him to put something at the bottom of the steps to block the entrance and I put a float on the steps as well. My son in law saw people attempt to come up and turn around when they saw the blocked entrance and I prevented 2 people from climbing up my ladder when in the water. Not a pleasant experience and something I would not spend the money on again. Cabana attendant was worthless. Everything else was perfect.
Cabin and cabin attendant, (sam) was excellent.
