I picked this cruise for the price point and the stops. I also planned to do a two day tour of Rome after the cruise. The reviews I read on cruise critic before my cruise were mostly spot on. The ship is older and small and not a lot to do on sea days. The food is average in the non-fee restaurants, much better food on Carnival which I have cruised several times before. Only decent meal was the prime rib served once. Did not have any shrimp served, very disappointing. Did not try the paid restaurants as I felt decent food is one reason you go on a cruise. The magician show was mostly weak tricks and posing. did not go to any other shows. The layout of the ship was nice as could always find a quiet spot without screaming kids and loud music. The buffet was decent and after the food in the main restaurant experience went there over half the time for dinner. The service in the main DR is slow. The employees were all kind and helpful. had the best room steward Joemar. he was always cheerful and helpful. had and inside cabin and the beds were very uncomfortable. need some upgrades. recommend this cruise for the price point and itinerary and employees. next time I will get a bigger ship with better entertainment and dining and more free activities. the shore excursion were expensive but went to some wonderful places. Hard to hear the tour guide though and everything was rushed. Will try to do more things on my on next time but wanted a professional as the first time in Europe. Will find another ship to spend my money on next time.
was ok except beds were very uncomfortable. had the best room steward though. thanks Joemar.
