Part of a 18 day package tour which was fantastic up to when we arrived at Vancouver to embark Nieuw Amsterdam. We took nearly two hours to get on the ship due to US customs going painfully slow and then Holland America staff going even slower!

When we eventually embarked we arrived at our room to find one of our suitcases was badly damaged. We reported it immediately and we thought that they would compensate as. We visited the front desk every day of our trip to Alaska and got it resolved on the sixth day of the cruise. We got 150 dollars plus the poor girl who admitted that they would replace both

Was made to pay 50 dollars making 200 dollars in all, not good enough as we bought two replacements in Ketchican that cost us 298 dollars which made us 98 dollars out of pocket.

Quite small but comfortable

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

Just awesome! We were transfixed by the views!

Ketchikan

Thought it would be a highlight but we were disappointed. Everything seemed so very very expensive and it looked very tired!
