If anyone is thinking of cruising the Mediterranean Norwegian is the way to go!

We have cruised the Caribbean at least a few times a year through Norwegian, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean, yet this was our best cruise experience ever.

The cruise staff and our steward were just so friendly and all spoke very good english! We had heard that almost every other cruise line in the Mediterranean had very bad and unfriendly attitudes towards their cruisers which was why we had chosen norwegian epic because we had cruised on it once before in the caribbean and loved it.

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

Total people cruising:4

-family, all +18, all close to or over 6 foot.

We had originally run into a problem our first night on the cruise with this room. We had the option of two regular balcony rooms or a famil balcony, which we had thought meant a connecting room. This was not the case. The room had one bed, a small couch with a pillow they callled a "bed", and a hanging bed from the celing. All our family emmbers are very tall people, not one of us fit comfotably without hanging off of the couch or hanging bed. Though after talking to customer service the first night they gave us another balcony stateroom on the same floor for Free until "they could find us a larger stateroom that could accommodate all of us"!!!

As the days passed we were never offered the large stateroom that could accommodate all of us which was kind of disappointing. This trip was a graduation present for our two kids in an attempt to have a family vacation. It did feel a lot less together when our kids were a good 5 minute walk to the other end of the ship.

*Another thing to beware about is the bathrooms on this cruise ship in your room. The bathroom in our family balcony and the regular balcony had the same bathroom issue. When you first walk into the room you have a toilet directly on your right and a shower directly on your left, both have a see through sliding door for "privacy". The sink was by the tv in the "living room" and there was a curtain for privacy in your non existant bathroom. If someone was showering no one can walk out of the room or into the room unless you want to see someone on the toilet or in the shower. The whole thing was just very odd.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

This was the port we embarked at. We explored the city on our own the days before and after the cruise. The city area was just so beautiful and we even stayed in a hostel! It was a great experience!
