We picked the cruise due to ports. Just happened that we sailed on the Epic. This is our third cruise (all with NCL). Balcony room in aft had plenty of room for the three of us and lots of closet/ cabinet space. The room steward was wonderful, Junemare. He really seemed interested in us and helping make our cruise a fun vacation. Splash Academy was a big hit. The casino was way too tight. The buffet area help-silverware was often running out. The pools were small considering the number of cruisers. The pool slide and rockclimbing-didn't have the opportunity to enjoy due to weather and the shore excursions-those activities have very limited hours. Bingo cards are crazy expensive. The duty free shop-couldn't find cigarettes or alcohol in it ?! The boarding and disembarking process was smooth. The packaged shore excursions: need more offers that include bus tours (limited walking, category 1), perhaps divide the tours into 4 as opposed to 3 categories (category 2 covers quite a range). Smoking areas-sufficient as one whole side of 7th deck is smoking and there's even an indoor smoking room. The room was wonderful, but the ship is just too big. However, one didn't feel crowded as it was so large. Saw only one show, that cost and included a dinner-recommend the Cirque show.
