We were on Brilliance for 7 B2B cruises – this was the finale. What a fantastic crew – happy, smiling, passionate, people pleasing 24/7. Was nice to return to a Radiance Class ship after spending so much time on Oasis, Quantum and other Mega ships. Love the intimacy of Brilliance – you feel like a real person – not just two of 5,000. Chef Andy had a wonderful variety of cuisines in the Windjammer every day – we have been on ships where the buffet is almost identical all the time. Outstanding live entertainment. We really enjoy doing multiple cruises that include a re-positioning segment. Always an opportunity to meet new and interesting passengers from all around the world. Particularly love the overnight in Venice – evenings in any city completely change the usual port experience. We usually sail on Royal or Celebrity – it’s so difficult to select between them. We have unique and wonderful experiences on both of them.
The only downside of the entire cruise was the inherent design flaw on deck #10. The noise from the kitchen in the Windjammer (directly above our room). We reported the issue to Guest Servces and to their credit, they did everything imaginable to mitigate the noise. They really went that extra mile to resolve our issue. Similar noise problems in several cabins on deck #10 on all of the Radiance Class Ships.
It was US Memorial Day. The port was having an American Food Truck Festival on the area along the beach. Music, great food and perfect weather.
Kotor is just spectacular. Our 5th visit here. Just take the tender into town and wander
The perfect city to walk on your own.
