I love NCL however I prefer the smaller ships with less people and better service. The cabin was very nice and the balcony was extra big which was a bonus. My 16 year old grandson loved all the entertainment and activities for the teenagers (this was his 6th cruise) and had a ball running around the ship. I really didn't like the check in procedure, it was very long, long lines and absolutely horrible. We felt like we were a herd of cattle being prodded along during the check in. Due to the size of the ship, we had to make reservations for all the dining....I neglected to do that and we had to eat in the "free" restaurants instead of enjoying the specialty ones like in the past. If you didn't make a reservation you were not able get in. Even the free restaurants turned us away one night because there was no room and we had no reservation. That was a let down to say the least. The ship was very big and clean, small swimming pools but lots to do if you were a young child or young adult. It was nice that they had an adult only pool during the day, but it was jammed packed so we enjoyed it at night along with the hot tubs. Service was okay, not first class as I have enjoyed in the past on previous cruises (this was our 15th cruise), there was no little extras as there have been in the past like scrapping the table between courses to get the crumbs off, and checking to see if everything is okay with your meal and making sure you are happy. The staff seemed rushed trying to satisfy everyone and I guess that is to be expected since it was a large ship. The Ports and excursions was great, we had a ball snorkeling and para-sailing and the shopping was good. All in all, it was okay and I will cruise again, just not on this ship maybe not on this line anytime soon. We are almost Platinum members just one cruise away and as I hate to say it Middle Aged so we go on vacation to be pampered and this time, it didn't happen. We booked a balcony room and I also booked two solo rooms for my Mom's. The Solo rooms were nice and comfy and they seemed to have better service than I did with housekeeping. My mom is ready to go again, my other mom said no way......Miami was great as usual and we stayed out by the airport this time instead of South Beach. Our hotel was much cleaner and nicer and getting around was no problem. We had a ball the two days were were in Miami before the cruise. All in all, it was an okay experience, not the best, not the worst, left me wishing I had booked on another ship. Hitting the beaches made it worth while. I will say the service desk was great, they were able to round up a wheel chair for my hubby since he was having issues walking the distances to the restaurants and such and we were able to wiggle our way through the masses with ease.

Cabin Review

Aft-facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

We had three to our cabin. The bed was comfortable, there were extra pillows and the bath spacious. The Balcony made the room with the two lounge chairs and two regular chairs. The couch converted into a bed for the grandson and he enjoyed the experience. Plenty of room for storage and very clean.

Port Reviews

Miami

Miami.....we flew in to Orlando and made our way down A1A stopping at all the beaches along the way.....Had a blast, great food, loved it!

Nassau

We walked off the ship and found a local to take us para-sailing. My grandson and I had a first rate adventure and it was fantastic. Would effeminately recommend if you are in Nassau. My Mom went on a island tour and my other Mom went on the glass boat and both had a good time. Nassau is like a big city on a little island but lots to do.
