The ship is beautiful and super clean, staff was very friendly and balcony cabin very spacious. We have been on 15 cruises with other cruise lines but this was by far the nicest ship when it came to ambiance. With all that being said I have to say this cruise line does need a little tweaking to get the American cruiser back onboard. Starting with the embarking, they take your picture, then send you on the ship to a kiosk to link your sea pass card to your credit card, then to the casino to get your drink package, then if you want to do specialty dining you have to call the restaurant and book your date and time. On every other cruise line we have sailed, all this can be done online before you get on the ship and when you board the ship your picture, sea pass, credit card, drink and or dining package is all done before you get on the ship. This saves a lot of time and frustration for the cruiser. The other issue is was being tendered onto an island by the life boats, this takes way to much time and is very frustrating for the cruiser due to a limited of time on an island. They need to contract ferry boats that are much larger and transport more passengers in a timely manner, to me it appeared the cruise line was just trying to save $$$. I am by no means trying to deter anyone away from this cruise line, I just feel that they need to make some minor adjustments if they want to do well in the U.S. This was the first time I had every seen the Captain of a cruise ship walk around and speak with passengers. My wife and I had the pleasure of speaking with him on three different occasions and he seemed very interested in getting feedback from first time passengers so we briefly spoke and made a few suggestions which he seemed to take note of. As far as the entertainment onboard, this cruise line seems to lack the entertainment compared to other cruise lines we have sailed. I was a little surprised to see there were no comedy shows onboard, Love and marriage or newlywed type shows, especially due to the gorgeous lounges they have on this ship. The other area I noticed that was lacking in large crowds was the casino. Every ship I have been on it seems the casino is always the place to be in the evening, this was the quietest casino I have ever been in. I have to believe it is due to the lack of quarter and dollar slot machines and no craps table, this casino has limited itself and is losing a lot of $$$ in my opinion. The menu on the buffet also needs to mix it up a little and add more theme nights, German, Asian, Mexican etc, it seemed like hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and pizza were on the menu every night. We ate at the Steak house one evening and we were very disappointed in the ambience and food compared to other specialty restaurants on other ships, especially when you see how nice the rest of the ship is, it felt like we were at a Johnny Rockets burger joint. Don't get me wrong, I think this ship and cruise line will do well in the united states if they make some minor changes because they have the ships, the staff and competitive pricing. It will be interesting to see what other cruisers have to say about this cruise line in the future.
