First time for 20 years with Royal Caribbean.
We had a balcony cabin on deck 7. The cabin was a nice size with ample storage space. An adequate but small shower facility. The King sized bed was really comfortable with a firm mattress, just the way we like it. The tv had few channels and needs an upgrade in our opinion. Charging for films was a bit of a suprise and was also unreasonably priced. Our cabin steward whilst being friendly we felt was not on the ball and did the bare minimum every day.
Windjammer restaurant was run like a school canteen and the layout was badly organised with no set fluency. Food was ok but that was about it. We had the My Time dining which on reflection was a good choice as the quality and choice of food was very good. We were fortunate to have two excellent servers in Alvind and Stephen. For breakfast we decided to go down to the sapphire dining room on deck 3 as this was much better than the bun fight in windjammer. Good selection of hot and cold buffet foods so no complaints. For lunch it was only on sea days we were allowed to use the same dining room. There was a ridicolous insistence on the staff putting your salad plate together for you. A buffet salad should be exactly that, you help yourself, please explain this RCL? The main course menu was extensive and very good quality. Another major complaint was the bread choice was the worst we have ever experienced. Whats happened to the crusty rolls you can cut yourself and where's the brown and wholemeal bread? On a positive the staff were always on the ball and friendly.
