We thought this was a 4 star floating hotel? No not at all. This is not the life. Don't believe the adverts.
Dining was slow. My wife quickly deduced through inquiry that P&O had reduced the number of waiters so that each one left was now waiting on 24 guests as opposed to 18 previously. That is a 33% reduction in waiters. Must have been the same result in the kitchens.
During the fortnight this resulted in :-
Nice cabin and well looked after by Barbara.
Blocked toilet and sad output from AC shows the fact that the boat is passed its best.
Dubrovnik should be on every bodies list to visit at least once in a lifetime. In a class of its own.
If I wanted to live outside the UK, then it would be Venice. First class. Would I go back, yes again and again.
Like the other places visited in Croatia, Split was also up there.
We went on a trip to a village which was advertised as the "gateway to Tuscany". It was splendid, even down to the snack and wine that was laid on, and also the solo singer in the local theater who was a class act and no mistake. Apparently, he was the owner of the local fruit and veg shop. First class.
Like Dubrovnik worth a visit
