My husband and I got back from our cruise around the Hawaiian Islands yesterday. It was great. Don't read any of the bad reviews. The whole trip was fabulous. I would suggest renting a car at all the ports. We had the most fun driving around. Get a jeep on Maui and drive up the Road to Hana. We didn't turn around, the road was open all the way through. The scenery was amazing, just be careful. We did take two tours, one in Hilo that was good, to see the volcanos and one in Kona to see the rainforest and waterfalls, it was okay. I believe it would have been much better if we had gone by car. The islands are not that big and you can see so much more and you have more time. With the tours you are always having to wait on someone or you have to be back in the van before you are finished. Our stateroom was clean, we never had to ask for anything. Carmen, our steward was very nice, she made us a towel animal every day. Get a balcony, I don't want to ever cruise without one. Going by the lava flows and Napali Coast would not have been the same. The food was good. We ate at one specialty restaurant on our anniversary but all the restaurants are good. Lots of fresh fruit, the avocado is to die for. Yogurt was my favorite for breakfast in the Skyline. We had nothing to complain about. If you don't like what you're eating, get something else. They don't mind. If you love soda buy a drink card. You can drink all you want. The shows onboard were good, we saw most of them. Go to the lei making
classes, you get to make them free and wear them that night for dinner.
They take lots of nice pictures. If you are in to swimming you won't
great balcony, bed was great, buy a pillow before getting on the ship. The only noise I heard were the waves from the balcony doors. Plenty of storage space.
