We really enjoyed our first cruise on Voyager having previously cruised twice on Mariner. We enjoyed everything about the cruise, the food, crew, cabin, public areas and included excursions were all very good. Although you would expect to get vibrations on a ship and this in itself would not be a problem, the vibrations caused the ceilings of our aft cabin to 'tick' loudly causing us to lose a couple of nights sleep. The vibration is a function of the ships speed and was most evident when the ship was on the longer legs of its itinerary, and was almost completely absent on nights where it had short distances to travel. I also felt that the deck of Voyager seemed much more crowded than Mariner. This maybe because the pool is wider only allowing for a single row of sunbeds around the pool, whereas Mariner has two rows. The entertainment was very old fashioned and seemed to be aimed at older people. The cruise director was also an entertainer, but whilst he was a nice guy, I'm sorry to say that we and nearly everyone else we spoke to thought he was past his sell by date. Again the entertainment on Mariner seemed much more up to date and the shows were modern and energetic. In view of these issues I would choose to travel on Mariner in the future

Nice up to date cabin, but very noisy. Its clear that many people must have found this problem judging by the numerous wedges of paper jammed between the partition and ceiling tiles to try and stop them from vibrating. I would have thought Regent would and should solve this problem. If I were to travel on this ship again I would have a forward cabin as information on the web seems to indicate that the problem is restricted to the aft.
