I had never been on a cruise and largely relied on word of mouth about the whole cruising experience. The room was adequate size for me (although I was alone, I could see how it would be more cramped with more than one person), and was very quiet. I occasionally heard some of the crew carts passing by, but never heard any noise from other passengers. The food was great and there were plenty of options of things and places to eat. The staff was very upbeat and friendly, and were always doing their best to make sure that each guest was having an enjoyable time. Getting on the ship and off (for the port of call) was easy and everything went smoothly. Disembarking the ship however, was another issue.
I was under the impression if you ONLY had carry on luggage, you were able to leave early (at 0730). However, if you decided to carry off your own luggage, you had the option to leave early. So this means that all the people that brought multiple massive pieces of luggage, were able to crowd their way into the line and hold things up. The ship did land and let us off about 15 minutes early, so that was a plus.
Be aware that "lines" (people standing behind each other and waiting their turn), don't seem to exist when on a cruise. In fact, civility vanishes when it's taco night as well.
