Land portion was great - except for placing your suitcase in the hallway of the Lodges about 6 am. Nice accommodations at three Princess lodges, pricey food in dining rooms, excellent included tour packages.
(By the way, nobody mentioned that a FOOD PACKAGE was available for Lodges and train ride! Would have been nice and saved us some money.)
Cruise was okay - not bad, not great. Since the ship is smaller, only two real add-on restaurants are available. The Crab Shack used one half of the buffet a few evenings and placed screens to "make it another venue" from the rest of that floor. We were rushed through our meal. As you put your fork down, the next course is in front of you. We had been asked by the server to select our dessert along with our appetizer and entree. Wham, bam describes the feeling.
Dinner menu had a limited number of choices every night and the concept of "always available" didn't have things like a simple steak.
Speaking of dinner, Princess "Anytime Dining" means anytime that they have a table for you. You can call for a reservation at 8am or stand in line - "anytime that you would like to eat." Our waiter Joey was more than efficient - made dining interesting!
Most of staffing was good but a few klinkers who were brand new left room for improvement.
Excursions were great - saw things that we had not expected. Mostly reasonable costs for our trips.
Will continue to use Princess for future cruises... but will only book larger ships.
Just what we expected. Steward (Rafa) was always accommodating.
No excursions - just watch the ice!

Walked around the town and shopped.
They fed eagles from a small boat. Amazing. Pulled in crab pot and learned about Dungeness crab. Back to George Inlet for an all-you-can-eat crabfeast of Dungeness.
