Hawaii has been one of my bucket list trips for a few years now so when I saw that I would have the opportunity to visit Hawaii doing one of the things I loved best...cruising, I took it. I have to admit that the interior room was smaller than what I'm used to and I could barely turn around in the shower. My room attendant, Cris was great. He really took good care of my son and I.
The ship was very Americana. And I was very pleased to see so many Americans working on the ship. I have to admit, it took to the last day for me to get accustomed to the layout of the ship. I stayed lost.
A couple of issues I had with the Aloha Café were the lack of sanitizer at EACH food station versus just when you enter. The ice machine seem to always be on the outs or something. You could not get anything other than water after 11:00pm in the Aloha Café and that was just totally ridiculous! The food options were so limited after 9:00 considering the café closed at 11:00 that you had no choice but to order room service or go to the Cadillac Diner(which has a limited menu). My friend and I dined at the Skyline dining room 4 nights of the cruise and we learned after the second time to ask for a specific person's area if you liked that waitress or waiter. The food in the dining room was actually pretty good...better than what I've had on Carnival.
Interior cabin was small. Not a lot room to move about. The bedding was not the greatest. I've actually had more comfortable bedding. Our room attendant was really great. Would give us pointers for the different ports.
