Exceptionally good value for the cruise.
The ship was well maintained with the exception of the cabin air conditioning which was contaminated and resulted in upper respiratory tract infection. There was the usual problem of people reserving sun loungers for long periods of time but not using same, this needs to be addressed by MSC crew.
The cabin was adequate but the shower was too small. The cabins on MSC tend to be smaller than other lines but that reflects in the price of the cruises.The cabin steward was OK but charged to the mini bar for water that was not provided by him.
Our waiter in the restaurant was exceptionally good, but the quality of the food in all restaurants was inferior to previous cruises with MSC.
The entertainment on board was excellent and has improved compared to previous cruises. I was on the Sinfonia 18 months ago and several of the presentations were repeated this cruise (Court cases) The on-line booking with touch screens was a significant improvement.
The credit card authorisaion was good although there was some issues with the internet connection (CPT)
The service staff on board were efficient and friendly
There was a significant improvement on embarkation process in CapeTown
Shore excursions were good but a little expensive.
